This cardamom spiced tea is great for drinking on a cold winter’s day. The ingredients are warming ingredients that help to improve blood circulation so that you can feel warmer. It is also great in the summer time when chilledl and served over ice. You can drink the cardamom spiced tea black as it is, or add your favorite sweetener and a nut milk. It also good when chilled and mixed with cranberry juice.
In addition to improving circulation, this spiced tea can also help to improve brain function, which is particularly due to the cinnamon and ginger. It can also help to maintain a healthy weight as it is a great alternative to other unnatural juices or sodas that are loaded with sugar.
4 cups Water
4 Cardamom Pods
2 small Cinnamon sticks
1/2 -1″ Ginger, cut up into smaller pieces
1 Star Anise
1 bag Black Tea (Red Rose, or another brand)
Bring the first 7 ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about an hour or two. The longer you simmer it, the more concentrated and flavorful the tea becomes.
Strain the tea into a tea pot and allow it to steep for about 10 to 20 minutes with a black tea bag.
You can drink this tea as it is, or you can add a natural sweetener, coconut oil, nut milk or cranberry juice for even more flavor.
