This is a rich and creamy chocolate and coconut avocado smoothie. It is great as a snack or as a dessert drink. It might even serve as a meal because both coconuts and avocados are rich with healthy fats and other nutrients that will keep you full and satisfied for a long time. For me, this is the perfect pick-me-up in the morning or afternoon.
As for the sweetener, the recipe calls for honey, but you can use another sweetener of your choice or even combine several sweeteners. You could also turn this smoothie into a delicious milkshake simply by adding more nut milk. You can also add more coconut water for a richer coconut flavor.
Makes about 4 cups.
Raw Smoothie Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups Nut Milk (How to Make Nut Milk)
Flesh from 1 Young Coconut
5 tbsp. Raw Cacao
2 tbsp. Raw Honey
1 tsp. Kapikacchu (Mucuna)
1 tbsp. Coconut Oil (melted)
Make the nut milk according to instructions. Scoop the young coconut flesh and avocado into a blender and add the rest of the ingredients. You can melt the coconut oil in a bit of warm water before adding it to the blender if desired.
