One of the best ways to care for the skin is from the inside, which means that we need to consume plenty of fluids and nutritious food so that the nutrients can make their way out to the surface of the skin in order to keep it from drying up and wrinkling.
Due to the nutrient deficient soil and all the toxins in the air, however, the skin does not only not receive enough nutrients from the foods we eat, but it also is bombarded with a high amount of toxic material. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy-looking skin, it is important that we take a few extra steps and take care of it from the outside as well.
There are many natural skin care products available on the market, however, they are not as natural as natural really is. The closer that something is to nature, the more natural it is, which makes anything that you can purchase in a squeeze bottle or any other container not really all that natural.
Following are some plant peels that you can use to naturally cleanse and moisturize the skin. Of course they will not seem as effective as a formulated lotion, nonetheless, they do work when applied regularly.
Aloe Vera Peel
Aloe has a tremendous power to heal the body both on the inside and outside. It is rich with vitamins, such as vitamins A and E, both of which are very beneficial for the skin. It also contains a good amount of antioxidants that help in the removal of the harmful toxins from the skin.
You can use the gel part inside of the aloe vera, or just use the peel after you have scraped the gel out. All you do is rub the inside of the peel on your skin, including the face, and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. If you want, you can also leave it on all day. Aloe vera juice does not contribute to an oily appearance and it becomes invisible once it dries on the face.
Avocados are rich with healthy oils, which are essential for good health and beauty. The oils help to moisturize, cleanse and protect the skin from harmful toxins.
You can use the whole avocado, but the inside of the peel contains plenty of healthy oils that you can rub onto your face, hands or any other areas of the body. Again, you can leave it on as long as you want.
The inside of a banana peel is an excellent source of many nutrients that will not only help to cleanse and moisturize, but they also work together to heal the skin of many skin problems, such as acne, rashes and insect bites.
Mango peel is another great peel to use on your face. It acts as a natural moisturizer and also helps to clear up acne and other blemishes on the skin. The only thing with mango peel is that it might be visible on the face, and you might want to wash it off after about 15-30 minutes.
In addition to these plant peels, you can also use oils, including coconut, avocado and olive oils, on your skin.
