This is a tasty raspberry lemonade to help keep you cool on a hot summer’s day. It is on the tangy side; but if you can down it you will feel refreshed. The tanginess from the lemon helps to neutralize the toxins that often make it difficult to deal with the heat.
For an even tangier lemonade, eliminate or reduce the amount of honey and agave nectar. You do not necessarily need to use both honey and agave; but using them both will help to create a unique sweet flavor, as opposed to just honey or agave.
Makes about 8 cups of tasty lemonade.
1-1 1/2 cups Raspberry Juice (juice from about 2 cups of raspberries)
1 cup Lemon Juice, (about 5 lemons)
2 tbsp. Agave Nectar
1/8 cup Honey
1/2 cup Warm Water (to dissolve honey)
5 cups Cold Water
Optional: Ice Cubes
Run enough raspberries through a juicer in order to make up about 1-1 1/2 cups. If you don’t have a juicer, simply blend them up in a blender and then strain through a nut milk bag.
Juice the lemons in a citrus press, or just squeeze them by hand.
Combine all ingredients in a large juice pitcher. Stir well and enjoy. You may also add in some ice cubes for an even cooler drink.
