It sounds so easy to go on a 7-day parasite cleanse and be rid of the buggers. But those who have dealt with a parasite infestation know that it isn’t that easy to accomplish. Even a 30-day cleanse may not be effective against the intruders. Chronic infestations can take up to a year or longer to heal even if under the care of a health practitioner. If you find yourself in this slump it may seem hopeless, but whatever you do, don’t give up.
In some cases it might seem as though the cleanse is not working although it is. The body might just be so toxic that other toxins have to leave first before the body is strong enough to expel the parasites. The key is to keep track of how you’re feeling before, during and after the cleanse. That will help to pinpoint what is working and what isn’t.
Another thing to do is switch up with your cleansing regimes. You might try to do the black walnut, wormwood and a clove cleanse for a month and then do a coconut oil cleanse. Other cleanses to consider if you have parasites include a heavy metal cleanse, lemonade cleanse, juice fast as well as a colon and kidney cleanse.
During this cleansing time it is important that you stay away from foods that can potentially feed parasites.
If you’ve been cleansing for a while and find yourself in a rut, here are some of the reasons why you can’t get rid of parasites.
Unable to Tolerate the Recommended Dosage
One of the reasons some individuals can’t get rid of parasites is that they are unable to tolerate the recommended dosage required to kill the critters. This was the case in with me. My body was so toxic that it took me over two years before I could finally take the recommended dosage. Plus, I was underweight and had very poor blood circulation, which didn’t help either.
If you find that you can’t take the recommended dosage, don’t despair. You will get there in time. The key is to stick with a healthy diet with lots of freshly made juices. Wheatgrass juice and powder can do wonders in not only fighting off parasites, but cleansing and nourishing the whole body. Be careful with wheatgrass though as it can cause severe detox symptoms if you start off with more than an ounce a day.
Immune System is Down
Parasites are very destructive on the immune system – the body’s natural weapon against the intruders. If your immune is down then you will need to focus on strengthening it. This can be done through the consumption of green juices and eating lot’s of vegetables. Berries, citrus fruits and pomegranates are high in vitamin C, which targets and strengthens the immune function.
Too many environmental toxins
Environmental toxins including big city pollutions, cigarette smoke, perfumes, household cleaners and other toxic substances can hinder the effectiveness of the cleanse. Chances are you are already extremely sensitive to them and being surrounded by them will stress your body and weigh down on your body’s natural defenses including your immune.
If you live in a big polluted city, get out. Period. Spend as much time out in the country as you can, including the beach, parks, natural trails and so on. The fresh air and sunshine are food for the whole body, and trust me, you’ll feel the difference.
Heavy Metal Accumulation
Heavy metals somehow help to shield the parasites and prevent them from leaving. If you’ve been parasite cleansing and just can’t get rid of them, then perhaps a heavy metal cleanse will help to open the doorways so they can be expelled more effectively.
Still Eating Foods That Feed Parasites
You might still be eating foods that you shouldn’t have. If you are, don’t beat yourself up over it because technically it’s not you that’s craving, it’s the parasites within you. At the same time, do everything you can to stay away from anything that might potentially feed the buggers. Some of the foods to avoid are breads and other baked goods, pasta, high volumes of animal foods and most processed foods.
Digestive system is clogged
Another reason why you might not be able to kill the parasites is because your digestive system is not functioning well enough in order to eliminate them. A colon cleanse can help to open up the pathways. Lots of fiber from fresh fruits and vegetables and avoiding all animal foods will also work wonders for the whole body.
Stress is the culprit behind many common ailments. It not only suppresses the immune, which then makes it more difficult for the body to heal; but it also will cause you to eat foods that you shouldn’t, or cause you to turn to other unhealthy methods to help you cope. Make sure to get plenty of rest and eliminate stress whenever possible.
Those are just a few reasons why you might not be able to get rid of parasites. I’m sure there are many more. The key is to listen to your body, keep track of your daily activities as well as how you feel. In the end, it will be your own journal that will ultimately help you to pin-point your reasons.
