This is a quick and easy cabbage recipe that you can serve either as a meal or as a side dish. Either way you serve it, this dish will be a hit with just about everyone at the table. Personally I enjoy this as a meal by itself.
Not only is this cabbage dish quick and easy to make, but it is also very economical.
Cabbage is a natural and mild laxative. It should not be taken in large amounts if the body is not used to it as it could lead to digestive problems. However, once the body becomes accustomed to it, it is perfectly okay to make a meal out of it once in a while. As a matter of fact, cabbage is very healthy if consumed in moderation on a regular basis.
You can use just about any oil for sautéing, but I find that coconut oil brings out the most favorable flavor. And feel free to use fresh dill as a substitute for the dry.
1/2 tbsp. Coconut Oil
2 cups Cabbage (cut up in strips or into small pieces.)
1/2 tbsp. Dill (dried)
1/3 tsp. Sea Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper
On medium heat, heat the oil until hot. Add the prepared cabbage and sauté for a few minutes until transparent. Stir the cabbage as needed in order to prevent it from burning.
Add the rest of the ingredients and sauté for another minute or two. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately.
