This is a tasty strawberry juice and almond nut milk that you can enjoy at any time of the day. I especially enjoy it before bedtime as the warmness of the milk helps me to relax and sleep better. The strawberry juice and nut milk also help to eliminate any hunger that tends to creep up before bedtime.
To make the strawberry juice, simply run the strawberries through a juicer. You can also blend the strawberries and use a strainer to separate the juice from the pulp. The pulp can be used in many raw recipes, including this raw and simple strawberry pulp mousse.
Raw Recipe Ingredients:
1/2 cup Almond Nut Milk (How to make Nut Milk)
1/2 cup Strawberry Juice
1/2 cup Warm Water
1/2 tbsp. Raw Honey
In a large cup or medium bowl stir together the warm water and raw honey until the honey is dissolved. Then add in the nut milk and strawberry juice and blend together with a stick blender. You could also do this in a magic bullet and save having to pour it into another cup.
Due to the warm water the drink is slightly warm. I happen to prefer it this way, but you can stick it in a fridge for a few minutes or add some ice for a cold drink. For extra flavor you can sprinkle the drink with a dash of raw cacao, cinnamon or cloves.
