Wheatgrass is so incredibly good for you! It’s highly nutritious to help balance any nutritional deficiencies. It’s anti-parasitic, it cleanses the blood, boosts the immune system and protects the body and mind from many serious illnesses. See here for more Health Benefits of Wheatgrass.
But, as good as it is for you, wheatgrass is an incredible turn-off when you first start taking it. Whether it be the fresh juice or the powder, as both have a taste that is difficult to down. But it doesn’t have to be that way if you know how to mix it properly.
You can add both the powder and fresh juice to just about any smoothie that you like. The powder can also be mixed into your favorite juice. And if you’re brave enough, you can also take the powder in just plain water. But I don’t recommend that because the taste is just blah… and you don’t want that.
Orange juice is my favorite as it tastes great. As a matter of fact, I have given this to a few newbies, who are not even into raw food dieting or health foods, and they love it! They keep coming back for more.. because it doesn’t taste bad at all, and they feel the amazing benefits afterwards.
And best of all, it’s quick and easy to prepare, making it great for work, the gym or anywhere else you like.
So what I do, is I grab an empty 500mL water bottle and fill it with orange juice leaving about 1-2″ at the top of the bottle. If you don’t have a water bottle, you can use a shaker cup, a jar or a blender.

Then I add about a scoop of wheatgrass. More or less will do depending on how strong you like it.
Then you shake it till the wheatgrass is fully blended. Watch out for any clumps in the wheatgrass as it tends to clump sometimes.
Pour it in a glass as pictured above, or drink it right out of the bottle. It’s that easy. And if you leave it in the bottle, you can easily take it with you to work.
This is a great way to start your day. The wheatgrass is very nourishing and helps to eliminate food cravings throughout the day. This will also perk you up in the the afternoon when energy levels aren’t up to par.
The combination of wheatgrass and orange juice is also very cleansing, which means it’s great for weight loss or to improve the overall health of your body and mind.
